Our work with the community
We work with our community in many ways.  We have a commitment to working with the community to find out what works best for people seeking therapy or assistance.

Our staff and students are currently involved in a range of projects including evaluations of video-counselling services to rural clients, group programs for women with substance use issues, group programs for children with parents with a mental illness, working with indigenous mums to help their young kids make the transition to school, art therapy programs for children and support programs for animal welfare workers, to name a few.

We are also involved in video-conferencing projects providing peer support for indigenous counsellors in remote locations and support for trauma workers in Rwanda. Working with service agencies to develop a strong evidence base for practice will assist Counsellors to know what works and why.
